The certified nursing assistant (CNA) will perform the functions of carrying out all assigned work as delegated by the nurse. The CNA will perform his / her job within their scope of practice and is accountable for all patient care given to them during the assigned shift. It is one's responsibility for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, managing supplies and equipment under the direction of the nurse and promoting positive team work with unit staff and other hospital employees. The CNA will adhere to hospital policies including but not limited to confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the American Disabilities Act.
