Electronic Security Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Electronic SecurityProject Manager will oversee and manage multiple electronic security projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. While the primary focus is on electronic security systems, the PM may also be required to manage projects involving Fire & Life Safety systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic security systems, a proven track record of successfully managing projects in this field, CRM managing software and the adaptability to handle diverse project requirements. This role requires alignment with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage electronic security projects, including access control, burglar alarms, and CCTV cameras, from start to finish.
- Schedule technicians and subcontractors effectively to ensure timely project execution and resource optimization.
- Develop and interpret project scopes, objectives, and timelines, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Manage project budgets, resources, timelines effectively to achieve project profitability and margins as quoted as well as client satisfaction.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders regularly.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication, responsiveness, and proactive problem-solving.
- Risk and Quality Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Oversight:
- Own the financial outcome of projects by monitoring project costs, expenses, and revenue, and taking proactive measures to maintain profitability.
- Conduct cost analysis and estimate expected costs for the project.
- Prepare and implement a budget based on estimates.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, change orders, and close-out documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead the team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, within budget, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Outline the tasks involved in the project and delegate accordingly.
- Mentor and train technicians in electronic security installation and compliance standards.
- EOS Alignment:
- Align general security projects with the company’s EOS framework, including clear accountability measures and L-10 integration.
- Ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals and contribute to overall strategic success.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, code requirements, and best practices in electronic security systems.
- Provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
- Additional Duties:
- Address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields, which may include Computer Science, Business, Electrical, or Engineering, preferred.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- A combination of experience and education may be accepted.
- CSPM, PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
- Other Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Pass drug test and background check.
- Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver License.
- Ability to meet the minimum requirements to obtain an NC Alarm Systems Licensing Board registration.
