What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Tech- Walker, MI position at Down, Inc.?
Essential Skills:
- Help with developing Quality Plans
- Receives and inspects incoming component materials in a timely manner to insure they meet Down Inc specifications.
- Establishes Quality Standards and communicates to relevant departments and staff.
- Ensure that all shop floor personnel are educated and trained in the quality procedures and documents and certifies training.
- Assists in the development of finished goods product specifications sheets.
- Insure all goods produced by Down inc. meet or exceed specified quality plans.
- Works in conjunction with Merchandising & Supply Chain Specialist to provide information to our suppliers that will enhance the quality of purchased components.
- Purchasing - Assists in Product Specifications & Supplier Development
- Manufacturing- Quality Plans & Quality Control & Training Certification
- IS willing to assist in communication with outside suppliers to ensure they meet Down Inc.’s quality expectations and shortfalls.
- Communicate with customers to confirm quality satisfaction and establish a plan to address quality issue(s).
- Performs related duties as required.
Job Specifications:
Helpful to have knowledge of comforter and pillow manufacturing processes, material and feather specifications and basic computers. Knowledge of the feather industry is helpful.
