What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at Down South CaJJun Eats?
Down South CaJJun Eats is searching for candidates who enjoy working with others in a fast-paced restaurant environment and want to create an enjoyable dining experience for guests. Busboys aim to support other team members by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guests’ needs to the waitstaff's attention. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes. Suitable candidates should be efficient, attentive, and have strong, engaging customer service skills.
Busboy Responsibilities:
- Work with restaurant staff to create a positive dining experience for guests.
- Greet customers and answer questions.
- Alert servers when tables are in need of attention.
- Clean tables and remove dishes after the party leaves.
- Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned.
- Ensure clean dishes, flatware, glasses, straws, napkins, and other dining materials are available.
- Washing dishes, as needed
- Restock supplies as needed
- Be able to remain focused and on-task during busy hours.
Busboy Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- An eye for details and cleanliness
- Ability to lift 20 lbs or more.
- Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
Down South CaJJun Eats was founded by twin brothers Jahmaal and Jermaine Dumes in the Spring of 2017. While Studying at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX they decided to take a leap of faith. Originally from Beaumont, TX they felt a tremendous part of their lives were missing in Austin. And that was Crawfish!
