Pay Range- $17.01 - $19.56

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the delivery of comprehensive home-based services to children and families by using a strength based and culturally responsive approach to develop relationships with the child in the context of their family to promote children's developmental progress.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with families to plan and implement two home visits per month with the child and their family.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to maximize the child's growth and development and model those activities for family members.
• Complete developmental assessments of children.
• Assist families in understanding their child's development and to identify developmentally appropriate expectations. Support families in providing an appropriate environment and activities which support their child's education, intellectual, social-emotional, motor, and language abilities.
• Participate in team meetings related to the child or family.
• Connect families with outside resources as relevant.
• Offer families guidance on safety, nutrition, effective discipline, and constructive play activities which can be woven into the family's typical daily routines.
• Maintain observations and anecdotal notes to document child's progress.
• Complete reports and assessments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate with FFD Partners as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:

2 years' experience required.

Education/Skill Requirements:

• High School diploma or the equivalent in skills and experience is required. An Early Childhood Degree or CDA is preferred.
• Minimum requirement of a CDA or a commitment to obtain one within one year of hire.
• Must be able to pass background checks.
