Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure that they have an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm smile and friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Provide excellent guest relations by answering questions and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Utilize Toast POS system for managing tables and processing guest information.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the host area.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls, taking reservations, and providing information about the menu and services.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food service practices is beneficial for assisting guests with menu inquiries.
