What is a Field Service Technician?
Installs, maintains, and repairs frac equipment consisting of API 6A Gate Valves, Spools, Zipper Manifolds, Flowcrosses, Goatheads, in the field environments.
In this role, you will:
- Installs and tests equipment in accordance with operating procedures
- Installs and tests equipment, inspecting condition and communicating information with customer
- Making repairs to customer property and rental assets including valves, spools, chokes, actuators, and other frac equipment as required
- Assembling and breaking down of new of used equipment
- Provides feedback to the Company through reporting of problems and failures to appropriate personnel for resolution
- Prepares service order, tickets, and customer related documentation accurately and completely Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by providing timely and knowledgeable service
- Executing general shop maintenance: Storage and equipment clean-up
- Tear down and troubleshooting of customer owned property for inspection, repair reassembly and testing based on customer communications
- Assembling, testing, and painting of new or used wellhead/tree sections
Required and Preferred Abilities:
- Knowledge of valve installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Use of service tools, hydraulic torque tools, grease units, pressure test units, gate valves and actuators
- Conventional completions
- Troubleshoot field equipment and products
- Sound reasoning and problem solve
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
- Additionally, employee must be able to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools up to 30 lbs.
- Clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noises
- Be able to work in the outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, wet, and be exposed to dust, fumes and other airborne particles, and loud noises
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or two years of related experience and/or training
