JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the Management of Food operation and ensures the department’s goals are achieved and maintained. Responsible for data entry and management of computer related systems and information on a daily basis to include MMS, UKG, and any other data management system utilized by Food and Beverage. Monitor, adjust and approve UKG time entries. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Downstream Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Institutes cost control procedures and standards of performance.
- Analyzes and evaluates profit and loss statement information to determine alternate courses of action. Complete financial analysis and reports as assigned
- Ensure the site is fully prepared and adequately staffed and stocked for the punctual opening of the site, including assisting with general cleaning duties
- Involved in the hiring, training, and coaching of Front of House Staff. Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Oversee the Front of House staff to ensure that a positive and warm welcome is given to all customers, ensuring allocated jobs are completed, monitoring timekeeping, uniform and performance, bringing any concerns to the attention of the Management Team
- Work closely with and maintain constant positive communication with Outlet Manager, Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Chef De Cuisine, Sous Chefs, Food and Beverage Buyer, and Warehouse Management.
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Deal with all customer problems, comments, and complaints in an appropriate and efficient manner in line with company policy, documenting and escalating as necessary
- Attends all necessary training meetings.
- Have an excellent knowledge of current and future Casino Promotions, related activities, events on property (concerts, comedy shows, Tribal Events), and property knowledge; Take a proactive role in ensuring the Front of House staff is informed on said topics.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- Must be at least 21 years old or older upon employment.
- High School graduate
- Minimum 10 years restaurant industry work, with at least 3 years progressive supervisory experience in food production in a hotel or casino restaurant environment. Extensive wine knowledge or wine sommelier preferred.
- Proven performance in implementing and maintaining food production operational standards.
- Must have a professional appearance and be a team player.
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Be able to multitask on multiple levels
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
