Summary
Responsible for coordinating entire carry out station and communicating with front and back of the house personnel to provide an exceptional dining experience to carry out guest. Welcomes guest to the restaurant, takes phone orders, helps guest find menu choices. ensures accuracy for all orders, anticipates, and responds to guest needs in a prompt and friendly manner, and invites them back again.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Greet walk in carry out guest; utilize menu knowledge and situational selling techniques.
● Knowledge of food and drink menu including daily specials and changes
● Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products as well as special requests including dietary or allergy information
● Package food and beverage orders, condiments, and appropriate items promptly and accurately. Ensure items are prepared properly and on timely biases, the following the standards set by the restaurant.
● Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and help them with the menu selections.
● Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
● Handle cash and credit transactions; accurately account for all receivables including cash, credit cards, coupons, and gift cards.
● Practice safe food and beverage handling and clean up at all times.
● Safely handle food prep equipment such as beverage machines, salad cases, etc.
● Handle guest complaints with tact and professionalism, turning dissatisfied guests into raving fans.
● Answer phone calls using company script per meal period in a fast and friendly manner.
● Accurately input carry out orders into the computer system.
● Collaborate and communicate with managers, servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, bussers, and kitchen staff
● Assist coworkers with tasks as needed
● Preparedness for shift (timely arrival, required uniform, pens, change bank, etc)
● Perform all pre and post shift side work as required
● Attend all scheduled employee meetings
