What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Teacher position at Downtown College Prep (DCP)?
The long term substitute is responsible for providing classroom coverage for a teacher who is absent for an extended period of time. The long term substitute works the regular hours of the absent classroom teacher during his/her absence. The long term substitute teacher is responsible for the full schedule of the classroom teacher. This includes, but is not limited to implementing the lesson plan created for the sub, yard duty supervision and other daily duties performed by the classroom teacher. Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success and beyond. DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates one high school and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves students in grades 5-12.
