Job Description:
As a Playgroup Leader and Front Desk clerk at Downtown Dogs, you'll be at the heart of our mission to ensure a clean, safe, and fun environment for our furry friends. Your role will include:
Managing the Front Desk: Receiving clients, answering phone calls, responding to emails, processing payments. In addition to general office work. You would be overseeing the general safety of the pups in the room and providing assistance to clerks in the rooms.
Supervising Playgroups: Directly engaging with dogs, managing playgroups, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Working on obedience commands, and maintaining appropriate group energy levels.
Enrichment Activities: Leading fun and educational activities, performing personalized 1-on-1 activities
Hands-On Care: Feeding meals, dog bathing, and other essential tasks.
Maintenance: Contributing to the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility, including washing dishes and general upkeep.

Love Dogs: You should have a genuine love for dogs and a strong desire to make their time at Downtown Dogs special.
Experience: Minimum 2 years previous experience working with dogs in a daycare setting or professional dog training equivalent.
Requirements: You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be physically active throughout your shift. You will be on your feet the whole shift moving around. Not be afraid to get dirty, dogs can be very messy. If bodily fluids bother you, this is not the job for you!
Team Player: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a dedicated team.
Character: You should possess a strong work ethic, honesty, patience, promptness, and dependability.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills are important.
Positive Attitude: A sense of humor and a positive outlook are highly valued.
