Downtown Drug is an independent pharmacy and gift shop located within a historic brick building in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs, a small mountain town in Colorado. Downtown Drug was founded in 1998. Our business was created in an effort to establish superior and more personalized pharmacy services beyond the scope of pharmacy corporate chains. Downtown Drug focuses on serving our local community while also offering unique gifts and conveniences to accommodate visiting tourists.
We are currently looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team Monday thru Friday, 9am- 5pm and/or 10am-6pm, who will share our core values and be committed to patient satisfaction. The Pharmacy Technician must have strong people skills and the ability to manage time and multitask effectively, as this position requires the processing of all medication related transactions in addition to providing top customer service.
Experience not necessary, but health-care background/experience is desired. Certification not required for hire, but will become mandatory within 18 months per Colorado State rules. Job requires standing for the majority of the day. Assistance with the front of store (gift shop) will be necessary as well.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones
- Assist patients/customers at the counter/register with prescription drop off, pick up, and general purchases
- Prescription preparation
- Assist with medication inventory management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
