Downtown Milford Inc. is an organization powerd by volunteers with a passionate commitment to infuse new life into downtown as a united community. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Downtown Milford Inc., including answering phones, welcoming the public, and handling administrative tasks. Job duties include:
- Gaining an understanding of and complying with Main Street program goals and objectives
- Acting as a volunteer coordinator, maintaining a database of volunteers and assisting chairpersons with filling volunteer needs;
- Assisting with purchasing, recordkeeping and reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of reports to funding agencies
- Establishing positive relationships with persons and groups directly or indirectly involved in the Downtown Milford Inc. boundary area;
- Actively participating in seeking and applying for grants to promote the mission of Downtown MIlford Inc.;
- Assisting with the promotion of Downtown Milford Inc. activities;
- Assuming duties required by Downtown Milford Inc. at all events;
- Maintaining a positive work environment with the board, colleagues and community; and
- All other duties as needed.
Job knowledge and skills required:
- Experience in business administration, marketing, public relations and/or non-profit organizations
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must have experience working with non-profits as well as an active, involved board of directors
- Able to work in a diverse context; bilingual abilities are encouraged
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
