What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Litigation Paralegal position at Downtown NYC Law Firm?

A mid-sized law firm in downtown NYC is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal.

Duties :

Support attorneys in handling cases from inception through trial, including court filings and deadline tracking.
Draft and revise pleadings, discovery materials, and trial preparation documents.
Organize discovery requests, maintain databases, and assist with document production.
Conduct research, summarize case law, and prepare reports.
Assemble trial binders, exhibits, and coordinate logistics.
Serve as a key point of contact, keeping clients informed and engaged.
Assist attorneys with scheduling, billing, and litigation logistics.

Requirements :

5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in complex litigation.

Bachelor’s degree and / or Paralegal Certificate (ABA-approved preferred).

Expertise in court procedures (experience with PACER, ECF, and NYSCEF required).

Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and litigation support software.

Superior organization & problem-solving skills—you anticipate needs before they arise.

Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-energy, high-stakes environment.
