Downtown Music Publishing is seeking a Temp, Copyright- Auditing. This person will be responsible for a range of activities related to music copyright administration, including onboarding new clients, managing their song catalogs, registering their works with rights societies around the world, and solving problems during that process. This position reports to the Associate Director, Copyright, and can based in our New York, Los Angeles, or Nashville locations.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and ensure registrations of high-streaming works from the Songtrust and Downtown catalogs at global pay sources
- Assist Copyright team with ad hoc registration reviews for priority clients
- Communicate with pay source and publisher representatives to resolve various issues such as missing claims, conflicts, duplicates, etc.
- Work with Client Relations teams to review registration inquiries, determine priority, and resolve errors
You are / have:
- A critical thinking problem-solver with a passion for publishing administration and data
- Self starter that enjoys taking proactively seeking solutions and jump starting initiatives
- Curious. You have a desire to learn about copyright and publishing administration
- Comfortable working with large sets of data in Excel or Google Sheets

Downtown provides base salary ranges for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The pay rate for this position is $17/hr.
