DOXA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriter to provide underwriting decisions in property and casualty for airports all over the U.S. You will underwrite all lines of coverage submitted with proper risk selection and pricing to ensure overall profitability and growth objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will be experienced in independent rating.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum of five (5) years PnC Underwriting experience
Solid understanding of insurance and underwriting terms, definitions, and processes
Excellent communication skills, especially being concise and direct in email correspondence
Great attention to details
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Four-year college degree in insurance, business administration, actuary science, or management strongly preferred

DOXA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriter to provide underwriting decisions in property and casualty for airports all over the U.S. You will underwrite all lines of coverage submitted with proper risk selection and pricing to ensure overall profitability and growth objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will be experienced in independent rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive application and review for acceptability within program guidelines.
- Refer accounts to Carrier as required when over authority.
- Send documents to UA for reservation clearance. Include specific instructions on rating, account entry, forms, etc.
- Review underwriting reports generated by AU (risk meter, ISO specific rates, protection class, commercial express building valuation, BUR, MVR)
- Negotiate pricing and forms specific to individual risk characteristics.
- Apply limiting coverage forms and /or deductible options as needed.
- Present quotes to broker with proper documentation and subjectivities
- Review all company bulletins and note / follow restrictions as directed in UW moratoriums.
- Complete file documentation as required by company.
- Issue policy in accordance with company requirements including Invoicing.
- Approve/process endorsements including invoicing.
- Review account for profitability at renewal and process quotes within established timelines
- Send all work to compliance for VIN upload and review.
- File Surplus Lines Taxes as required.
