We are seeking a front office assistant with 1 years of recent experience in an office setting for our North Houston law firm. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a professional demeanor, be organized, and detail oriented.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Greet, welcome, and announce clients and visitors to the office
  • Data Entry - case data, AP vendor receipts/invoices
  • Answer telephones, distribute mail, maintain paper files as needed
  • Schedule and confirm conference room reservations
  • Maintain reception area, copy rooms, kitchen, and conference rooms
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Perform clerical and administrative projects as assigned by accounting and legal assistants/paralegals

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a receptionist or similar position, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Excellent telephone manner and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with discretion, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to operate office equipment and technology used on a regular basis, including computers and telephones
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform clerical tasks quickly and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people in a team setting
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships within the department, office, and firm
  • Strong service orientation
  • Legible handwriting
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred

This position has growth opportunities within the firm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
