About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in operations management, with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. You will work closely with department heads and executives to streamline processes, manage resources, and support the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through audits and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving inventory accuracy.
- Optimize inventory management systems and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory items, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Analyze inventory metrics and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Ensure inventory practices adhere to all legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage environment.
- Supervise and train inventory staff to ensure high performance and adherence to processes.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
- Address discrepancies and resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Specific knowledge of handling fine art, furniture and decorative arts.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and processes.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and strong visual memory.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing shifting priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance related to inventory management.
- Experience in the auction industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
- A proven track record of improving inventory processes and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
