Job Description:
- PURPOSE OF JOB: To manage the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging associates along with facilitation of orientation, competency and continuing education. To participate in budgeting and program development for Diagnostic Imaging.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Manages the day-to-day and clinical operation of Diagnostic Imaging Services
B. Responsible for the management of the strategic and budgetary planning for
the Diagnostic Imaging department
C. Responsible for the hiring, orientation, competencies, performance assessment, and
continuing education of Diagnostic Imaging associates.
D. Assures and Provides patient care in a manner to maximize patient outcomes
E. Departmental Budget: As a member of Doylestown Health's leadership team who is responsible for budget, this position will adhere to the Health System's budget process to include planning, facilitating communication and coordination across the Doylestown Health System. As well as allocation of resources, controlling expenses and will be accountable for all budget variances.
F. Associate Retention: As a member of Doylestown Health's leadership team, this position will act with integrity and emotional intelligence. The way a leader treats their Associates can have a profound impact on Associate's loyalty and retention. Leaders can positively impact Associate retention by creating a positive, empowering environment.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Imaging program
Certified Diagnostic Imaging Technologist
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
- Other Skills: Good communication and customer service skills
Current BLS certification
Good working knowledge of computer-based Microsoft programs
Good working knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging equipment
Ability to work on a team and independently
