Job Description:
- PURPOSE OF JOB:
To receive, store, and inventory all food and non-food items, and to order certain products and requisition food items needed by the Food Production staff and other departments for the next day's menu constantly striving to improve the quality of service to the customer.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives stores and inventories all food and non-food items needed in the department.
- Orders certain food and non-food products for the department.
- Requisitions all food items needed by the Food Production staff and other departments in the hospital and assists in the kitchen as assigned.
- Uses and cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, the actual kitchen facility under the direction of the supervisor. Equipment includes-tilt fryer steamers, steam kettles, ovens, warmers, mixers, slicer, buffalo chopper, food processor, fryers, grill and knives, Dish machine.
- Maintains a SERVICE attitude when providing customer service
- Completes all safety training and adheres to safety procedures in daily operations.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
- Experience: Food Service or other hospitality related experience preferred.
