Responsibilities
**Required Experience & Qualifications**
The Medical Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, stocking, staging, packaging, crating, inventory management, shipping, and delivery functions at the Fairweather medical warehouse. This role requires knowledge of medical supplies and equipment to ensure accurate packing and shipping of medical kits.
The position involves interfacing with clients, contractor personnel, and internal teams to ensure proper handling and distribution of medical materials.
Responsibilities
- Utilize computerized systems or databases to develop, maintain, and report material status, including creating FRs or Excel spreadsheets to transfer, stage, issue, and return medical materials.
- Handle medical materials, including packing and shipping medical kits with accuracy and care.
- Load/unload freight vans, trucks, flatbeds, and box trucks using various types of indoor/outdoor forklifts.
- Follow company and client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medical warehouse operations.
- Maintain organization and inventory of medical supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and handling regulations.
- Interface and coordinate with clients, production teams, engineering, construction, maintenance, and purchasing departments, as well as vendors and contractors.
- Perform bin maintenance, warehouse cleaning, and workstation organization as assigned.
- Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support Fairweather's zero-incident safety culture and take personal accountability for safe work practices.
**Required Experience & Qualifications**
- **Medical knowledge is required** (e.g., EMT I or higher certification, medical logistics experience, or relevant medical background).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid U.S.-issued driver's license.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) at the warehouse.
- Reliable transportation.
- At least three (3) years of manual materials handling experience.
- Experience in a medical, construction, industrial, oil and gas, or Arctic warehouse environment.
- Experience handling, receiving, and shipping medical equipment and supplies.
- Forklift (sit-down/stand-up, indoor/outdoor) operations experience.
- Familiarity with SAP or other inventory management software.
