Responsibilities
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
The **_Second-In-Command_** authorities and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the PIC in the management of the flight;
- Flying the aircraft in accordance with the directions of the PIC;
- Carrying out take-offs and landings under the authority of the PIC;
- Assisting in Loading and unloading of the aircraft;
- Be able to assist in completing weight and balance.
- Taking over control in the event of PIC incapacitation; and
- Participating in the safety management system
- Maintain IFR currency
- Be able to lift at 70lbs. unassisted
- Be able to travel international
- other duties assigned by management
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:**
- The qualifications required to act as VFR PIC as specified in Part 135.243(b)
- Instrument qualification – to pass IPC
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
