FIELD SERVICES TECHNICIAN
Job Description: DPC Engineering, LLC (DPC) is seeking a “Field Services Technician” with a positive attitude to join our team. The candidate must be a team player, and shall perform field work at project locations throughout New England. Our field services garage is located in Enfield, Connecticut. The candidate shall be responsible for reporting to/from the Enfield garage for all field work assignments. The candidate must maintain a valid driver’s license at all times, and based on his/her driving record, must be insurable on our commercial automobile policies. The candidate will utilize DPC field vehicles, and occasionally their personal vehicle, if applicable, to perform a range of field work responsibilities including sewer/water/drainage system evaluations, manhole inspections, smoke testing, sonar testing, GPS coordinates, flow monitoring, sewer/drain camera (CCTV) inspections, and other related services.
Field work often requires manually opening approximately 30 to 50 manhole covers per day. The candidate’s supplemental office responsibilities may include paperwork, field work reports, data summaries written summarizes and CCTV inspection reports. When performing office duties, the candidate will work at the Enfield garage/office. A laptop computer with the appropriate software will be provided by DPC. DPC equipment and resources are to be used solely for company purposes. Company Overview: DPC Engineering, LLC (DPC) is a Longmeadow, Massachusetts based engineering consulting firm serving municipal, private and institutional clients throughout New England. DPC focuses primarily on water/wastewater/civil planning, evaluation, design and construction projects.
Work Schedule: The candidate must also be capable of working in the field for field services, as well as in the Enfield office when performing office work. Typical hours are on-site at client/project sites between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, excluding travel time. Typical work weeks often include four 10 hour days.
