DPG Solutions is looking for Linux Design and implementation Engineers for our environments; a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large Project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include someone who is very familiar with the Linux Operating systems - Preferably versions of OEL 7 / 9 and can work through the OS configuration and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
Responsibilities to Anticipate :
You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) Operating System for the project.
You will support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort.
You will Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system.
You will assist with development of build / test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises computing environments.
You will assist engineers with OEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires BS / BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and 5 years of related work experience.
U.S. citizenship and current Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Thorough background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and / or network issues.
Experience with RHEL 6.0 infrastructure development, implementation, and optimization for an enterprise Design.
Qualifications We Prefer :
Experience in Interfacing with customers and users at a customer's site
Experience in Network designs and implementation
Experience in SAN / NAS designs and implementation
Experience in Windows Platforms and implementation
Understanding of DevOps / DevSecOps developments
Extensive Windows OS development and deployment experience
