Financial Controller

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the ability to utilize various accounting software systems effectively.

Duties

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks for efficient financial management.
• Ensure adherence to technical accounting standards and principles.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead and mentor the financial team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with vendors and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, auditing, and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
