Job Title: Salesforce Engineer

Reports to: Director, Business Implementation



Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer to design, develop, and maintain business process automation across our Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for implementing scalable, maintenance-friendly solutions that integrate with third-party APIs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, focusing on Salesforce Flows, ensuring system stability, and driving continuous improvement in our Salesforce environment. Experience as a business analyst is a plus.

Salesforce Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to determine CRM needs.
  • Develop customized, scalable solutions within the Salesforce platform.
  • Focus on Salesforce Flows and automation to streamline operations.
  • Build and maintain third-party API integrations to extend Salesforce functionality.
  • Test system stability, identify issues, and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ensure solutions are maintenance-friendly and scalable for future growth.
  • Provide documentation and training for end-users and internal teams.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of Salesforce flows
  • Responsible for daily issue resolutions in the event of Salesforce errors

Salesforce Engineer, Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Flows and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Exposure to Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of third-party API integrations (REST/SOAP) and middleware tools.
  • Understanding of Salesforce best practices for development and deployment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps methodologies for Salesforce.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile development environment.
  • Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Products & Services is a plus.
  • Business analyst experience is a plus.
  • Preferred Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II).

Typical Day:

You will report to the Director, Business Services and serve as the primary internal Salesforce developer. Your role includes responding to tickets, developing automation, and implementing new business process improvements. You will collaborate with IT engineers, project managers, and business analysts to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions, including packaged Salesforce extensions. Participation in daily standups and agile development cycles is expected.
