Role description:
Arcadis DPS Group Global is looking for an experienced Structural Designer to join our growing team in Boise, ID. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a well-established A&E design team and grow your career. In this role, you will be an integral part of the engineering design group, working alongside a multidiscipline engineering design team and project managers in performing technical design and specification. As a Structural Designer your primary responsibilities will include supporting the design and planning process for multi-faceted production facilities and the production and coordination of structural construction documents. You may also provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior level design professionals.
Proven success working for A/E or EPCM consultancy companies in a similar role, supporting projects related to cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fab, data center, solar manufacturing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.
This is a position with preference for individuals located Boise, ID. Relocation within the United States may be available for selected candidate.

Role accountabilities:
- Identifying deliverables, defining requirement, and creating design drawings.
- Produce structural design packages using applicable software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, and develop layouts while working in tandem with project managers and engineers on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure all activities are in full compliance to Client Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, architectural and process to develop designs.
- Responsible for coordination and multidiscipline clash checking.
- Intermediate understanding, interpretation and compliance of zoning and building codes.
- Successfully interacts with the multi-disciplinary design team for high technology facilities in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and procedures.
- Responsible for conducting and documenting lessons learned process and other improvement initiatives upon completion of project(s).
- Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
- Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, cut-resistant gloves, and other PPE as required per the requirements of clients’ safety policies when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree minimum preferred in CADD or Engineering related discipline with a minimum 3-5 years of structural design experience working in industrial project environments. Cleanroom design experience for semiconductor, nanotechnology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and/or laboratory projects highly desirable.
- Must be design oriented with excellent graphical skills. Strong knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD are required along with the willingness and ability to perform production design work. Other computer proficiencies will include MS Office Suite and applicable structural design platforms.
- Must have excellent written and communication skills and be well organized, engaged, flexible and self-motivated.
- Experience interfacing with clients and coworkers, and delivering presentations, with the ability to maintain a professional and productive relationship. Demonstrating good interpersonal skills, being attentive and approachable is a must.
- Ability to multitask on multiple projects and work independently. Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.
- Ability to provide valid work authorization for US employment required.
