Position Summary:
The Project Manager for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) will work under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of ESE to support various ESE-related activities. The Project Manager will develop, manage and ensure implementation of processes related to initiative monitoring, budgeting and purchasing, supporting and corresponding with stakeholders, as well as coordinating and executing inter-departmental initiatives. The Project Manager is a brand ambassador for ESE.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and provide evidence of a bachelor's degree (or higher) from an institution accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or an equivalent higher education agency
Master's Degree is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of education experience and/or non-profit experience
Expertise in project management software and systems.
Expertise in prioritizing workflow, managing resources, and projects, and coordinating multiple complex activities
Interest in and aptitude for handling a wide variety of responsibilities at once in a very hands-on manner, at varying levels or complexity, with excellent attention to detail and consistent high quality of output
A clear commitment to setting and upholding high standards for all stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, intense environment
Ability to pivot/remain flexible while managing the tasks at hand
Proficient in K-12 data systems such as PowerSchool
Experience managing budgets and responsibly maintaining records for accounting purposes
Essential Functions:
Project manage ESE/District initiatives including supporting ESE and school-based staff and administration in large scale projects.
Facilitate and lead professional development related to projects as well as orientation/onboarding specific to ESE.
Coordinate internal cross-departmental communication and support for department initiatives.
Develop, lead and support trainings and collaborative sessions to share best practices and disseminate knowledge as necessary.
Analyze, Develop, Review, Revise and Present Data to a variety of stakeholders.
Provide direct assistance at schools as needed based on project needs and departmental processes/procedures.
Implement and maintain databases with information including, but not limited to, website and social media management, staffing, and departmental surveys.
Manage reports to appropriate entities.
Maintain high level of confidentiality.
Coordinate the development, implementation and data collection of annual departmental metrics.
Liaise with community-based organizations and vendors that provide support to ESE.
Organize and manage ESE operational functions, effectively resolving operational issues and preparing for future operational functions to maximize efficiency.
Maintain accurate records as required by the state and provide regular reports on the progress of initiatives.
Support orientations and professional development sessions.
Assist in managing budgets, expenses and timekeeping/payroll information for ESE.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
