Doctors of Physical Therapy is proud to announce its Wisconsin Internal Travel Therapist position. This position will travel to provide coverage throughout the Eau Claire, WI area. You will provide physical therapy coverage to various DPT locations as assigned. Communities that need your expertise in Physical Therapy are: Thorp, Chetek, Cameron, other locations in Wisconsin as needed.
You will be responsible to obtain and keep current active PT licenses in each state and/or PT Compact states that you are assigned to. You will be reimbursed for licensing costs. This position is accountable for, but not limited to
Clinical Work:
- Perform Physical therapy initial evaluations according to APTA standards
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient based on initial evaluation findings.
- Understand reimbursement standards by insurance carrier and be able to design a clinically superior patient program that allows for heightened patient success.
- Demonstrate consistent Compliance excellence by (not limited to):
- Develop short and long-term goals for patients
- Implement plan of care
- Provide comprehensive therapy treatment to improve patient well-being and return to optimized functionality.
- Consistently report patient progress to referring physicians and other professionals involved in the ongoing treatment of the patient.
- Create and document home exercise plans for patients to improve benefits of Physical therapy.
- Plan and execute discharge of patient
- Maintain contemporary knowledge in Physical therapy practice through educational workshops, continuing education, etc.
- Communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner including, but not limited to, other health care professionals, insurance companies, third party payers, case managers, etc.
Prevention Work (For any On-Site/Industrial Assignments):
- Plant walk throughs as determined by that facility
- Participate in ergonomic or safety meetings
- Assist in production re-design and/or ergonomic redesign
- Develop stretching or other interventions that are department specific, multiple joint, efficient and physiologically sound for prevention and not treatment derived.
- Develop prevention strategies and work within the plant/facility systems implement.
