What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Manufacturing Specialist position at DPX Technologies?
: The associate scientist takes on more technical tasks surrounding manufacturing and quality control.
:
· Follow standard operating procedures around sorbent cleaning, pouring, and quality control testing.
· Aids in the development of new product specifications and quality control criteria.
· Execution of complex laboratory methods.
· Perform procedures involving calculations and material measurements.
· Conduct tests on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
· Analyze results and prepare reports for review by the production team.
· Maintain accurate records of results and other relevant data.
· Maintains clean and orderly work area.
· Operating standard laboratory equipment.
· Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet expectations.
· Support manufacturing of product to meet company standards and specification through performing duties in a professional manner within a cohesive team environment.
· Complete all on-the-job training and other required training as assigned.
· Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
· Wear required personal protective equipment: lab coat, hair and beard net, nitrile gloves, and shoe covers. Eye protection may be required for some processes.
· Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.

· Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry.
· Basic benchtop laboratory technique/experience operating a high end balance, pipetting, automated pipetting, measuring volume and density.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
· Communicates effectively and respectively.
· Reliable and punctual.
· Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the DPX Quality System.
· Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.

Work is performed in a “clean room” manufacturing environment and in a laboratory environment, as required. Exposure to pneumatic and power equipment with potential for physical hazards such as pinch points. Physically capable of repetitive manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching. Exposure to chemicals. Personal protective equipment required. Must adhere to established safety practices as required. Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
: Responsible to and supervised by Production Manager. Works directly with production and R&D team. This position requires employee to work primarily in manufacturing setting but will be required to be in laboratory setting as necessary to perform job duties listed above.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
