Job Summary: As an Ophthalmic Surgery Counselor, you will assist patients with all aspects of pre-operative preparations, ensuring they feel confident and their surgical experience is smooth. Some travel is required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Preferred: Two years of experience in a surgical specialty.
- Required: Two years of experience in ophthalmology.

Responsibilities:
- Perform complete patient work-ups.
- Complete all surgical measurements and calculations.
- Explain surgery procedures and lens options to patients.
- Answer patient inquiries via telephone.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

- Operate in a professional office environment.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate with customers.
- Frequently use hands or fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
