Duties
- Assist the dentist/dental hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, following all health and safety regulations.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Support various specialties including prosthodontics and general dentistry as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in using Oryx software for patient management is preferred, but not expected.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience in dental assisting with a focus on general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures.
- Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Competence in taking X-rays and understanding radiographic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks.
