Schumaier & Associates has provided Audiological service to the Tri-Cities area for over 45 years and is a leader in providing the areas best services for hearing aides, hearing evaluations and balance disorder evaluations. Duties
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess hearing and balance disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including those in Otolaryngology, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize computerized systems for patient records management and data analysis.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in sales activities related to hearing aids and assistive listening devices, providing expert advice on product selection.
- Stay updated on advancements in audiology practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the auditory system.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in using office software and computerized systems for documentation purposes.
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills while addressing patient needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry standards.
