D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Building Maintenance Technician for their Corporate Facilities Department. The right candidate will perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures to the D.R. Horton Corporate Office in Arlington, TX and the Basswood Data Center in Fort Worth, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties could be assigned.
- Perform routine, repetitive daily inspections and maintenance necessary to the building's HVAC equipment.
- Assists and completes semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with the maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the D.R. Horton buildings.
- Assists and performs installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
- Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker board / chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items.
- Inspects properties and communicates with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance.
- Ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in safe conditions.
- Performs custodial duties as required.
- Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
- Facilitates weekly safety checks to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and eliminate all hazards.
Qualifications
Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five years in commercial HVAC experience and preferable with VRF.
