Hygiene Assistants are responsible for engaging with and caring for our family of hygiene patients of all ages while providing Dentistry with Heart! Creating an environment of personalized care, this unique position assists our hygienists and supports their mission to educate patients on the importance of preventative oral health care. While building relationships with patients, our hygiene assistants obtain various x-rays, update and review health histories and help develop treatment plans alongside the hygienist and doctors.

This exciting position directly assists the dental hygienist, a registered and licensed provider, which allows them greater efficiency. While working closely together as a "hygiene care team", the hygiene assistant plays a very active role and should always seek to learn and grow in the exciting and expansive preventative realm of dentistry! Sharing this knowledge with patients reinforces our practice mission in educating our patients that Oral Health = Overall Health!

Requirements:

• Clinical training and experience in the field of Dentistry
• Dental Assistant Experience
• Instrument Sterilization
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Radiation Certification in North Carolina
• Refer to DANB.org (Allowable and Prohibited Duties for NC Dental Assistants) for a listing of required/expected core competencies.

Recommended (but not required):

• Coronal Polishing Certification
• Experience with Eaglesoft Dental Software
• SPICE
• Zoom!
• Nitrous certification desired
• Invisalign experience
• DANB certification (a plus)
• Bilingual (a plus)

The Dental Hygiene Assistant positions are vital in ensuring that all hygiene operations including (but not limited to): Patient Care, Hygiene Assisting, Sterilization, Infection Control, Laboratory Operations, Patient Management, etc. meet local, state, federal requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
