What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at DR Johnson Lumber?
Excellent opportunities available for hard working self-motivated individuals that have the desire to work themselves into part of the production team. We are looking for entry level and skilled workers.
Must be a team player and be able to work for a full shift as this position is labor intensive.
- Safety Compliance:Following all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify defects and ensure accuracy in work.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other production team members.
- Ability to Follow Instructions: Adhering to work procedures and safety guidelines.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plant environment, potentially with loud noises and exposure to machinery.
- May require standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the production process.
Screening and Evaluation:
While not part of initial applicant screening, the finalist for this position may be required to pass a criminal history background check as part of a contingent offer of employment. Employment is contingent upon a pre-employment drug screen.
