Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for patients.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration with physicians and other care providers to ensure well-coordinated, interdisciplinary continuity of care.
- Provide care within scope of practice as outlined by applicable state laws, licensing regulations, and practice policies.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
- Order appropriate diagnostic tests and lab tests and knowledge to correctly interpret.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Develop physical assessments that are accurate, complete, concise, relevant, and appropriate for for age, gender, and clinical problems.
- Utilize critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as eClinicals.
- Participate in case management activities to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain knowledge of coding practices relevant to patient documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by physician.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity in electronic health record systems for maintaining medical records.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $52.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
