Job Title: Front Receptionist (Dental Office)
Reports To: Office Manager / Dentist
Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Receptionist to join our dental office team for Mondays to Thursdays. The ideal candidate must be a team player with excellent communication skills, ready to learn new skills, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. This position involves greeting patients, managing appointments, handling administrative duties, and ensuring a smooth office flow. A positive attitude, strong multitasking abilities, and excellent communication are essential for success in this fast-paced environment. We welcome new grads from DA school. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer and direct phone calls, providing general information and answering patient inquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments, and manage cancellations or rescheduling.
- Maintain patient records, updating personal and insurance information in the system.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with insurance-related questions or issues.
- Prepare and manage patient billing, process payments, and issue receipts.
- Assist with patient check-out and scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
- Manage office correspondence, emails, and mail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Ensure the smooth flow of patients through the office, coordinating with dental assistants and other team members.
- Handle patient complaints or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Assist with inventory and ordering office supplies as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or specialized training preferred).
- Previous experience in a dental office receptionist role is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in using office equipment (phones, computers, fax machines) and dental management software.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with dental terminology to effectively explain treatment plans to patients in Spanish and English.
- Must be bilingual (Spanish Fluent).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift light office supplies.
- Must be able to handle multiple phone lines and office systems.
Schedule:
- Part - time position, with flexible hours depending on office needs.
