What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Pediatric Dental Assistant position at Dr Lane & Associates?
Responsible for traveling to designated practices and assisting the dentist in rendering patient care, maintaining inventory control in the operatories where treatment is rendered by the dentist, and maintaining public area appearance. The chairside dental assistant receives patient treatment supervision from the dentist.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the dentist in rendering patient care
- Reinforces preventive maintenance instructions to patients
- Seats and prepares the patients for treatment
- Cleans operatory after treatment procedures
- Readies tray set-ups for procedures
- Monitors the operatory supply levels
- Shares maintenance duties as required
- Sterilizes instruments
- Exposes and develops radiographs
- Takes preliminary impression for needed procedures
- Monitors prosthetic cases and ensures they are ready for the patient’s appointment
- Monitors lab tracking system
- Maintain the office dental supply inventory control system, the lab tracking system, and OSHA
- Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:
- Chairside Dental Assistant Certificate
- State of NC X-Ray Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
