What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Learner Education (ELE) Teacher position at DR. Philip O. Coakley Middle School?
• Consults with classroom teachers to coordinate services for ELL students.
• Provides learning experiences and teaches English language development instruction as prescribed by the Norwood Public
Schools approved curriculum.
• Provides academic content support services for all ELL students.
• Administers entry, exit and annual testing to all ELL students including, Placement and Exit Assessment and annual standard
(ACCESS) assessments.
• Monitors former ELL students.
• Participates in Student Support Team (SST) Meetings.
• Provides SES training for all staff.
• All of the above duties and responsibilities reflect and respond to the Department of Education's requirements and mandates.
