Join our team! We are a pediatric dental office looking to add an experienced dental front office coordinator/receptionist. If you are organized, motivated, enthusiastic and professional, we would love to meet you! An energetic, multi-tasker whose smile can be seen over the phone is a perfect fit for this position! You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while still showing attention to detail. We are looking for the “right fit”, so previous dental experience is a requirement, and experience with Dentrix is preferred.
Monday: 9 am - noon
Tuesday-Thursday: 7:45m- 4:30 pm
Friday's a month: 7:15 am-noon
~ 32 hours per week.
Experience with Dentrix is a plus, as well as being cross-trained as an assistant.
Job Duties
- greet patients and register new patients
- assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- verify and update patient information
- verify insurance benefits, coordination of benefits for insurance
- insurance aging and inquiry
- enter all relevant patient information into data system
- maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- answer and manage incoming calls
- respond and comply to requests for information
- schedule patient appointments
- schedule IV sedation appointments including explaining the process
- confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
- maintain recall system and work on scheduling aged recall
- fill in cancellations and no-shows
- collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
- inform patients of treatment plan options and send in predetermination of insurance benefits
- prepare and mail billing statements, follow up and overdue accounts
- prepare claim forms for dental insurance
- arrange supporting documents for insurance claims
- maintain book keeping system by balancing day sheet and preparing bank deposits
- run monthly reports: aging, practice statistics, balancing A/R
- maintain a professional reception area
- safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrate care & compassion to patients before, during, and after their visits. Address patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
