What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Receptionist in Pediatric Dental Office position at Dr Renee Commarato?
Join our team! We are a pediatric dental office looking to add an experienced dental receptionist. If you are organized, motivated, enthusiastic and professional, we would love to meet you! An energetic, multi-tasker whose smile can be seen over the phone is a perfect fit for this position! You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while still showing attention to detail. We are looking for the “right fit”, so previous dental experience is a requirement, and experience with Dentrix is preferred.
Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm, and 2 Friday's a month: 7:30 am-noon
~ 24-30 hours per week.
Experience with Dentrix is a plus, as well as being cross-trained as an assistant.
Job Duties
- greet patients
- register new patients
- assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- verify and update patient information
- move patients through appointments as scheduled
- enter all relevant patient information into data system
- maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- answer and manage incoming calls
- respond and comply to requests for information
- schedule patient appointments
- confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
- fill in cancellations and no-shows
- collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment
- inform patients of treatment plan options
- prepare and mail billing statements
- prepare claim forms for dental insurance
- arrange supporting documents for insurance claims
- maintain a professional reception area
- safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- cross-trained as an assistant to help with clinical care, as needed, a plus
Education and Experience
- high school diploma
- knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
