Humanities Curriculum Specialist 2024-2025
Classification : Exempt, 12-Month Employee
Reports to : Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
Overview
This role serves as the Humanities curriculum specialist with deep 6-12 knowledge in the assigned content areas as part of the school's larger Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment team. This is a self-starter with a passion for education and the ability to craft and codify high-quality curriculum, analyze student work and data with teachers, and coach and develop teachers in their planning and intellectual preparation.
Curriculum Design and Management
- Codify the Humanities curricula for grades 6-12, ensuring cohesion and coherence
- Develop and oversee Humanities initiatives, using student and teacher performance data to align Humanities instruction with the school’s vision of exemplary teaching
- Ensure all teachers are following the curricular scope and sequence with fidelity, supporting them in their planning and intellectual prep to align the program and materials the school sets forth fully
- Work collaboratively with the DCIA team to standardize best practices for curriculum and instruction in the school

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 12-month position. This is an On-Site position; not hybrid or remote. The regular hours and workdays are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm in addition to any special events to which all staff are expected to attend.
Salary Range
85,000 - $120,000 annually (Based on Experience)
