Job Title: Optometrist / Clinical Ophthalmologist

Located in the heart of Downtown Hilo, we are an established, family-run ophthalmology practice known for providing high-quality, personalized eye care to our community. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist or Clinical Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams and assessments for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat common vision problems, including refractive errors, and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Collaborate with our team of ophthalmologists and support staff to achieve the best patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records according to practice protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Optometrist: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical Ophthalmologist: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with residency training in ophthalmology.
  • Valid Optometry or Medical License in the State of Hawaii.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, family-oriented, and well-established practice environment.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
