Located in the heart of Downtown Hilo, we are an established, family-run ophthalmology practice known for providing high-quality, personalized eye care to our community. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist or Clinical Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat common vision problems, including refractive errors, and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Collaborate with our team of ophthalmologists and support staff to achieve the best patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records according to practice protocols.
Qualifications:
- Optometrist: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Clinical Ophthalmologist: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with residency training in ophthalmology.
- Valid Optometry or Medical License in the State of Hawaii.
- Compassionate, patient-focused care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, family-oriented, and well-established practice environment.
