Overview
Legacy Oral and Facial Surgery is seeking a professional, Courteous, and self-motivated Patient Care Coordinator to manage front-office operations and deliver an exceptional patient experience. This role involves welcoming patients, handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and managing financial interactions.
Essential Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact, answering phone calls and addressing patient requests, concerns and needs in a professional, friendly manner.
- Triage patient inquiries and escalate issues to the Practice Manager when necessary
- Review and discuss treatment plans, insurance coverage, and patient balances to ensure patients understand their financial responsibilities
- Accurately determine and document co-pays, deductibles and out of pocket expenses for patients' upcoming appointments
- Process and record payment made in person, by mail or over the phone
- Monitor and optimize the daily schedule for efficiency and productivity
- Scheduling preauthorized treatment promptly once insurance approvals are received
- Verify that all necessary radiographs, paperwork and patient information are complete and up-to-date before appointments.
- Ensure any required medical clearances are obtained prior to patient appointments
- Send requested records to patients and update patient files
- Support the Team Lead with additional administrative tasks as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Experience in the dental or oral surgery field with knowledge of Insurance

Education/Experience Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Schedule
- Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
