Part-Time Dental Assistant / Sterilization Tech – Entry Level Welcome

Dr. Susan Hong’s dental office in Rancho Bernardo is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Assistant or Sterilization Technician to join our warm and welcoming team. We offer a supportive environment and are open to training motivated individuals who are eager to grow!
- Assist the doctor with four-handed dentistry
- Take dental X-rays
- Perform iTero scanning
- Deliver excellent patient care and chairside support
- Sterilize, disinfect, and organize dental instruments and equipment to meet infection control standards
- Ensure all dental tools and equipment are ready for use during appointments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the sterilization area, following OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Assist dental assistants with patient preparation and handling of instruments during procedures, as needed
- Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and order when necessary
- Support the team with general dental office duties, such as patient setup and cleanup
- Monitor sterilization equipment and alert management to any maintenance needs
- Follow office protocols to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician, Dental Assistant, or similar role (preferred).
Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines (preferred).
CPR certification or willingness to obtain (required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive, friendly attitude and a team player.
Open to light housekeeping duties and additional training, as needed.
