Job Description :
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Sterilization Technician to join our team and help maintain our high standards of cleanliness and safety. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff. In addition to sterilizing dental equipment, we are looking for someone who is open to supporting our dental assistants with light clinical duties when needed as well as the opportunity to learn to assist our Doctor chairside in dental procedures when needed. This is a dynamic role that combines sterilization tasks with an opportunity to expand your skills in dental assisting.
Key Responsibilities :
Sterilize, disinfect, and organize dental instruments and equipment to meet infection control standards.
Ensure all dental tools and equipment are ready for use during appointments.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in the sterilization area, following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Assist dental assistants with patient preparation and handling of instruments during procedures, as needed.
Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and order when necessary.
Support the team with general dental office duties, such as patient setup and cleanup.
Monitor sterilization equipment and alert management to any maintenance needs.
Follow office protocols to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician, Dental Assistant, or similar role (preferred).
Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines (preferred).
CPR certification or willingness to obtain (required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive, friendly attitude and a team player.
Open to light dental assisting duties and additional training, as needed.
