POSITION SUMMARY: The Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant (Clinical Research Technician) is responsible for the performance of clinical procedures as they pertain to a protocol.
SHIFT:
Part-Time with a minimum guarantee of 40 hours per month.
Shifts may be anywhere from 3-12h in length between the hours of 0600-1800. Will be scheduled to work Saturday, Sunday, Mondays.
Note: Training will be M-F days for up to 6 weeks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform basic medical procedures, including but not limited to vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy, urine collection, etc.
- Participate in the informed consent process and execution as delegated by the Principal Investigator
- Assist with preparing and serving meals to study volunteers
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed, such as restocking linens, taking out trash, sweeping floors, making beds, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience
- Medical Assistant or phlebotomy certification
