What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising Supervisor position at Dracko Merchandising Inc?
We’re looking for a highly organized and motivated Merchandising Supervisor to join our team. This role will focus on hiring Retail Sales Merchandisers, conduct job interviews and provide leads and train new hires on company policies, client guidelines, Repsly functionality, and KPIs, while supporting various departments to streamline processes and improve workflows. You’ll report directly to the Operations Assistant Manager and work to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hiring and Training:
- Participate in hiring Retail Sales Merchandisers.
- Conduct job interviews and provide leads.
- Train new hires on company policies, client guidelines, Repsly functionality, KPIs, and on-the-job training.
- Project and Promotion Management:
- Oversee execution of projects/promotions.
- Drive territory routes 4 days a week; dedicate 1 day to administrative tasks.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the team to discuss progress.
- Execute monthly performance evaluations and improve team performance.
- Recognize outstanding performance through incentives and awards.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including disciplinary actions.
- Client Communication:
- Provide weekly activity recaps to clients.
- Communicate regarding reporting, market visits, and special requests.
- Submit monthly attendance reports to clients and Dracko Finance Department.
- Use various communication styles and settings effectively.
- Program Execution:
- Present program overviews to the team.
- Monitor progress of programs/promotions.
- Provide updated information to the team.
- Internal Communication:
- Provide weekly activity recaps to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate with Key Account Managers, Event Coordinators, HR Generalist, Operations Manager, and Director of Sales.
- Confirm and acknowledge requests from upper management.
- Payroll and POS Materials:
- Oversee payroll reports daily to ensure compliance.
- Handle and use Point of Sale (POS) materials properly.
- Market Visits:
- Conduct quarterly supervision and training visits to foreign markets.
- Make monthly visits to nearby markets within the region.
- Customer Service:
- Support clients' requests by assigning necessary resources.
- Help sell or pitch programs/promotions at store level.
- Leverage retail network to facilitate tasks.
- Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred)
- Supervisory: 2 years
