A Dragon Rises Center for Wholeness - Patient Care Liaison is responsible for providing a welcoming and supportive environment for patients while assisting acupuncturists with clinical duties, as needed.
Clinical duties may be as follows: onsite front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out, managing laundry, scheduling appointments, completing patient payment transactions, maintaining patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and conducting regular inventory counts.
Key Responsibilities
Patient interaction:
- Greet patients upon arrival and warmly welcome them to the clinic.
- Verify patient information and insurance details during check-in.
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars effectively.
- Handle medicinary transactions and collect patient payments.
- Address patient concerns and inquiries in a professional manner
Administrative tasks:
- Handle patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Update patient demographics and insurance information, as needed.
- Manage necessary paperwork, including ensuring intake forms are complete.
- Answer phone calls and manage appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
- Communicate regularly and efficiently with both the onsite and offsite teams.
Clinic operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Manage office supplies and inventory (quantities & expiration dates).
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities, as needed .
- Ensure compliance with local healthcare regulations.
- Assist acupuncturists with patient preparation for treatments, including setting up treatment rooms. “flipping rooms”
- Maintain laundry
- Sanitize tools
- Coordinate with providers and prepare custom herbal formula prescriptions for patients during their visits
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients compassionately and effectively.
- Organizational abilities to manage schedules, provider’s needs and patient flow.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Self motivated and requires little direction to initiate daily duties.
Helpful Additional Skills:
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software
- Knowledge of basic healthcare administrative procedures
Compensation & Benefits:
- $18 - $20 per hour

Hours: Part Time 16-20hrs
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday (flexibility)
- 4 days / 4 hour shifts
- Potential for more hours, as needed

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
